DIY Bleach Splatter Jeans

When I saw these bleach splattered jeans all over blogs, I decided this is one DIY I could do!  I'm  a master of spilling stuff on myself so why not tip the bleach bottle and have at it?    When my masterpiece was finished, I wore these out shopping with a friend and started to feel a little weird when people stared at me.   They just didn't get it.

Chinese Take Out

Here's what I wore to a late lunch over the holiday weekend.   We sat down at a real table so it wasn't take-out, but look at my little bag!  I could've shoved so much food in there!    But I wasn't about to empty my bag.  I hate when I have to put my money and lipstick in my bra. 

And no, I'm not trying to go undercover in my shades at night.  These pictures were taken in the afternoon, not at midnight.   That hallway was really a little too bright but I had the camera on the wrong setting.   Story of my life!   So what do you think of my Chinese Take Out? 

Oh, and TODAY is the first official day of my summer vacay!!!!  And it's raining.  Off to a good start!

Nothing beats a holiday weekend like a cookout!  It's currently just a few degrees cooler than hell here right now so the cookout will have to wait.  Today I am face down in my bed with the air conditioner whirring at warp speed and my fan has broken the sound barrier.   If it weren't for summer vacay, and going to the pool, I'd hate summer.

So these pictures were taken a week or so ago when I went outside.  I totally love the dip dye trend and this shirt is one of my favs!  I thought the skirt and shoes added to my graffiti feel!  What do you think?

Neon Denim

If there's one trend that has me totally head over heels this spring, it's NEON!  I found these earrings and necklace at the flea market and couldn't resist.  This is an outfit I could wear everyday and never get tired of!  Do you like my new denim vest?  It's not really new, but it's new to me!  And just because I know you're wondering.....TOMORROW is the last day of school!!!  No, I'm not excited at all.  At all. 

And.......my internet connection is crap right now and it's making me crazy!!  So I'm so sorry that I haven't been to your blogs to comment like I normally do.   Maybe I can get it figured out this weekend.

I wore this outfit to a dinner with friends on Saturday night.  It was at a hotel so I took pictures in an area off the back of the dining room in a nice little sitting area.  I am still not totally comfortable taking pictures of my food at the table.....like in front of real people in a public setting so you'll just have to take my word that my food was delish and the night was fun.  Except for those shoes that hurt my feet.  Oh well, no pain, no gain, right?

White Mint

 The water draws me like a moth to a flame!  I was back at the river front yesterday but just to take a quick walk and some pictures before grabbing some snacks with friends and an afternoon of nothingness pretending like school is already out for the summer!   It's hard to stay inside and study when the weather is a perfect 72 degrees (22 C)!!   This kind of "therapy" is just what I need right now!

Brunch

Back to the river for brunch on a family friend's boat on Sunday.  It was fun but we didn't go anywhere in the boat.  It was a little weird to eat on a rocking boat.....I think I could get seasick fast!  I am not trying to sound ungrateful, but I spent my brunch time lounging on this dock and not really on the boat eating!  That's where this maxi skirt came in handy...it hikes up nice and lady-like so I could sun the legs and work on the tan lines!  Classy!
