Wallpaper Pants

I'm pretty sure my grandmother had wallpaper and maybe matching curtains in this same pattern!    I thrifted these pants and I can see why someone would get rid of these, but the longer I had 'em, the more I liked 'em.  I wore them yesterday and did get some stares.....I'm sure it was because they are so awesome, right?

Neon Pastel

Oxymoron---a figure of speech that combines contradictory terms.

That's my outfit today....how can it be both neon and pastel?   I've managed to defy the English language with my sartorial choice.  Well, not really.  It's called creativity, baby!    Go with it.

Yes, I love swinging this bag.

Conservatism

I had to dress up on Friday to read an essay to a group of conservative "oldies but goodies" for a contest I entered.  I decided not to offend any of them with a teeny tiny miniskirt or a sheer top showing my bra.  Enter the conservative skirt and respectable jacket.  I hope they weren't offended with my flip flops.....oh well.  Smiles all around!!!

Exit stage left.

Neon Leopard

I wore this yesterday to run around town in.  I wasn't really doing anything but I've learned if you look busy, then you must be busy.  I chose this flimsy sheer leopard top with a neon green tank top underneath.  And then I felt a little cowgirl inspired with my bling belt.   So.....cowgirl neon leopard.....hey, that's how I roll.

Yellow

I found this swing dress thing at the thrift shops for $1.95 and couldn't resist.   My mom used to dress me in these things when I was 5 and I remember how grown up I felt.  Putting one on again didn't make me feel grown up but the nostalgia was worth $1.95, right?   I threw on this yellow jacket for some color and cause I like it and it matches the plastic "Birkin".

The photographer and I were playing around with sunlight today and here's what I learned:  Trying to smile looking directly into the sun makes my face look like I'm either going to puke or have the worst cramps of my life.

How's that for getting the weekend started?

Stripes

This dress had me at hello.  Ok, maybe that was the girl in Old Navy that said hello, but I walked right past her when I saw this dress.  No way, I'm not rude, I was on a mission.  Don't stand between me and my stripes.

Pastel Pink Pants

Welcome to my first DIY.  I dyed these pants sorta similar to the pair I found from JBrand.  Only mine were cheapo, but they look just as good as JBrand, right?  Right?  C'mon people, show me some love.  I'm up here by myself.

For the dye job, I poured the dye in a plastic bowl.  Then I twisted sections of the pants and dipped them into the dye for a few seconds.  If you try this, don't freak when the color is too dark after the dipping.  After a round in the washer, the color calms down and you won't look like you ran away from the circus.

My First Outfit Post

Hello people!  Here's my first outfit post for the blog.  I'm diggin this dress and wore it right out of the local boutique I found it in.  I'm classy like that.  If these wedges weren't so heavy,  I'd kick up my heels that's how much I love this dress!   Topped with the over-sized denim jacket and I've got this town by the tail.

When the photographer says jump, I say "ain't gonna happen"

This Parisienne like lamp post makes me wanna speak French.  Oui?
