Neon Gloves

Do you remember wayyyyy back last summer when I was obsessed with anything neon?  It's not over.  I found these neon gloves with special tips so I can keep right on texting and ipading through the cold.  Practical + neon = LOVE!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Welcome to 2013!  I welcomed the new year by doing not much of anything!  I watched some tv shows on my ipad and played some video games with my friends.  Nothing too exciting for a fashion blogger but freezing rain put a damper on the par tay!

Here I am with my DIY studded beanie!  Do you like it?

What did you do for New Year's?  Did you make any resolutions?  I didn't.  Too much trouble lol!

New Year's Eve Eve

Nothing like showing back up on a blog you've been MIA on for a few months......and showing up just in time to party for New Year's Eve.  That's my style.....only show up for the excitement.  Naaa, I'm not rude like that, just overwhelmed by my lack of time management.  I went back to school, started playing sports again and had to choose between blogging and books.  Easy choice for me, but the parental units decided I needed more books in my life.  Ugh, responsibility.

Soooo.......as we get ready to ring in 2013, I promise to do better at blogging!   And we're gonna party like it's 1999 2013.  What rhymes with that?

And to live up to that promise, here are some great party dresses!!   These won't break the bank and some of them can be recycled for other seasons.  Gotta love a dress that does double-duty!

Cookout

I went to a cookout on Friday night way out in the sticks.  Bonfire.  Hotdogs.  S'mores.  Good friends.  I'm really loving my plaid shirts already this fall and well, plaid is so country that I had to do it.  The Uggs were just too warm not to wear, so score one for being practical.  The colored jeans just needed to be worn.  It was all fun and games until I dropped my s'more on my jeans.  Game over.

Military

No, I haven't joined.   I just dragged this military jacket out of the back of my closet.  It's a few seasons old and I bought it over sized to wear over the sweaters that I don't own.  Really it was the last jacket on the clearance rack so I justified buying it for that reason.  It all made sense to me!

The weather has been wild and changing like crazy and I feel like crap so please excuse my hair.   I pulled it off my face so I didn't have to mess with it.

Anyone else feeling the crazy weather changes like I am?

Leopard Season

I thrifted this leopard faux fur vest on clearance last winter but never got to wear it.  I wasn't sure it was me but the fact that it's lined in purple was the deciding factor.  Not really.  It was $2.00 so I thought it was a pretty low-risk buy.  I paired it with the shirt I dipped in bleach for 3 days but would not bleach white.  The shirt only turned some pinkish color and I got totally frustrated with it so....you get what you get.

I finished the outfit with my fave accessories--the neon bag and Converse.  Yes, Converse are accessories!  Necessary accessories.  That's a lot of S's.

Soooo...what do you think about the leopard vest?

LBD #3

Way back at the beginning of summer I started showing you all of my LBD's.  If I was even somewhat organized, I would've posted them all together so you could see them "side by side", but that's not how I roll.  Thinking ahead and planning?   Not skills I work on in the summertime.

So enter another random LBD post.  It's a vintage hottie (it's my blog and I can call my own dress a hottie).  I cut the sleeves out of it and I love the simpleness (it's still my blog and I can make up words here too) and it works with heels, flats or I might even try it with boots this winter!

But tonight it was classic all the way.  Do you like this look?
