Leopard Season

I thrifted this leopard faux fur vest on clearance last winter but never got to wear it.  I wasn't sure it was me but the fact that it's lined in purple was the deciding factor.  Not really.  It was $2.00 so I thought it was a pretty low-risk buy.  I paired it with the shirt I dipped in bleach for 3 days but would not bleach white.  The shirt only turned some pinkish color and I got totally frustrated with it so....you get what you get.

I finished the outfit with my fave accessories--the neon bag and Converse.  Yes, Converse are accessories!  Necessary accessories.  That's a lot of S's.

Soooo...what do you think about the leopard vest?

LBD #3

Way back at the beginning of summer I started showing you all of my LBD's.  If I was even somewhat organized, I would've posted them all together so you could see them "side by side", but that's not how I roll.  Thinking ahead and planning?   Not skills I work on in the summertime.

So enter another random LBD post.  It's a vintage hottie (it's my blog and I can call my own dress a hottie).  I cut the sleeves out of it and I love the simpleness (it's still my blog and I can make up words here too) and it works with heels, flats or I might even try it with boots this winter!

But tonight it was classic all the way.  Do you like this look?

Purple People Eater + My First Blog Award

Here I am in purple again.  It's a color I really love but I don't wear that often....really, I don't.  I'm on it with the colored denim jeans trend but I like the lighter colors instead of the darker ones.  So what, it's fall and I should be putting the pastels away.  Fffffttttt.  Yep, that's me, the fashion rebel.

So I paired the purple people eater pants with a shirt that I cut the shoulders out of.  Another trendy trend.  I am on F-I-R-E today!  And nothing says haute couture like a cheap pair of flip flops from Old Navy.  $1.00 on closeout.  Ch-ching!  Ba-da-bing!

 BLOG AWARD

I received my first ever blog award while ago (I'm sorry it's taken me this long to answer the questions) from the gorgeous Ann Paige

Go check out her blog cause she's got lots of fun stuff going on there!  She awarded me the

Here are her questions and my answers.  Enjoy!

1. What celebrity do people tell you that you most look like?  Um, so far no one says I look like a star.  I guess I'm not meant to be famous!

2. What is the one makeup product that you cannot live without?  Since I can't wear makeup to school, it has to be my Maybelline Color Sensational lip stains.  Color without looking like I have makeup on!

3. If you could live in any city in the world, what would it be?  PARIS!

4. What first got you into blogging?  I have to wear a uniform to school so I was feeling depressed about not being able to dress like I want all the time.  I wanted to "journal" that I still have fashion options after school and on weekends and how my style is still evolving!

5. Top 3 favourite designers.  Valentino, Chanel and Dior.  Classics!!

6. If you could only shop at one clothing store for the rest of your life, what would it be?  Chanel.....as soon as I find someone to pay for the things I buy LOL!

7. Current favourite summer product/clothing item.  My denim cutoffs and Bumble/Bumble Surf Spray with my spiral curler

8. Who is your favourite blogger and/or youtuber?  Too many to name and I might get myself in trouble!!

9. What do you do in your spare time?  In the winter, I play basketball on my school's team.  In the off-season, I love to hang with my bestie, shop, go out to eat, download tunes on my ipod Touch and watch tv.

10. What career field/studies are you into?  I want to be a teacher!

11. Top 3 makeup brands.  Love MAC lipsticks, OPI nail polishes and Chanel lipsticks!

Can't Let It Go

I am not ready to let go of summer so I will force it to stay around if I keep wearing neon, right?  And if you've been here long, you know that neon is my new black.  I will wear it with any color.  Anytime.  So purple makes an appearance with my shocking neon tank top.  And I could've thrown on a pair of Converse, but I kept things classy with satin flats because I was going out.   A trip to Walmart on Saturday night.....you know, Redneck Night Out and the night where anything goes in that crazy place is definitely worth experiencing at least once in your life.  Not really.  Please avoid Walmart on Saturday night.  Lesson learned.

Sunday

Yeah, I've been really bad at blogging lately.  I can't seem to keep all the wheels moving in the same direction since school started.   I blame it on the new service hours that I have to complete for school.  Yep, they make us complete service hours for school, family and community.  It's really a good thing and I pretend to be all pissed about it but I secretly like helping out.

Just this past week, I have stuffed envelopes for a school group, helped stamp letters for the local library and helped my grandma clean her kitchen.  It's all good, but leaves me less time to take pictures for the blog.  Welcome to the real world, right?!

So to chillax today, I found some inspiration for you (but mostly ME).  Enjoy and I pinky promise to try to do better.

Classic!

Ralph Lauren---I had to laugh--this is the plaid I wore in elementary school!!

Love these!

No one does the LBD like McQueen!

Sundress

We had a little teaser of fall last week but the heat is back.  And back it is!  I don't wanna be like some grouchy old lady always complaining about the weather, but seriously, this is ridiculous.  Nearly 40C today isn't my idea of September weather.

So I had already stashed put most of my summer clothes away but dragged out a few dresses for the smothering weekend.  Here is another dress I found at a local boutique and couldn't resist.

Do you like it?
