My Converse Collection

I am the Queen of Converse.  Can I just give myself a title like that?  Or how about if I narrow down my kingdom.  At my school, I am the Queen of Converse.  I have to wear uniforms for school but I'm  allowed to wear whatever shoes I want (well, within private school reason).  I am also not allowed to wear flashy jewelry, no makeup and no hair coloring.  That's wording straight from the handbook.  Welcome to Catholic school folks!  So with all those restrictions, I decided to make my creative outlet Converse.    This is my collection as it is right now and I am hoping it's nowhere near finished!  What do you think?  Am I the Queen of Converse?

I haven't shown you the pair on the left yet.  I kinda like shoes with patterns.

I haven't shown you my 2nd pair of neon ones yet!  Here they are!

The glittery ones aren't technically Converse brand but they're close!

Yellow, Leggings, Converse and Neon

I took these outfit pictures before it decided to be 100 degrees today (I used an online converter which makes it around 38 C).  Anyway, the weather sucks.  We got that straight.  I decided to go edgier than my usual looks with these fun leggings.  The pictures don't do them justice but they have silver grommets up the legs.  I paired them with a yellow halter dress, a denim jacket, my neon bag and another new pair of Converse.  Would you guys like to see my collection sometime?

Pink and Green

Wow, it's Monday again.  How do these days roll around so fast?  Can't we have a longer weekend?  I spent the day on Saturday doing nothing much but errands and I went over to a friend's house for the afternoon.   I'm wearing a simple summer deal---an old vacation t-shirt, pink destroyed shorts and I'm back in my Converse.   Happy Monday everyone.  Ugh.

LBD #2

I have already shown you my very first LBD.  Since all of the ones I own are sleeveless, I'll be showing them to you this summer.  Black is still ok in summer, right?   This is a newer LBD for me since I found this dress at Goodwill a few weeks ago and cut the underskirt off to a shorter length.  Perfect trend now!  I also can't wait anymore.....I have to show you my new shoes!!!!  I got them on sale and they're not really a summer shoe, but I pulled it off because the weather here has been so crappy and cool.  The shoes are a dream come true for me.....my first pair of designer shoes!  I think they bring class to the otherwise very cheap outfit.  Can you tell everything but the shoes is thrifted?  What do you think?

Neon Neon Neon

Yes, the all this neon nearly burned out the camera lens!!  I don't think I have to waste time telling you how much I love neon.  I can't stop wearing it!  A few posts ago I told you that I'd found some neon things when I went shopping and here they are!  Welcome to my neon burnout t-shirt, the earrings and the fun necklace.

And the love of my life.....the neon Converse!  My mom surprised me with these beauties a few days ago and she designed them on the Converse website.  I am in total love.

The Natives Are Restless

And I am too lol!   Yes, this tribal print skirt was another score from Goodwill, my second home.  This is what it's come down to since I live so far away from civilization.  I troll the local Goodwill on a regular basis.  Maybe I should get a job there.  But I really don't mind.  My mom drops me off while she does her thing and then comes back and pays for my stuff.  I think this gig is working out just fine!

And yeah....I know I wear a lot of skirts.  I'm a little sorry that I'm not more creative.  It must be my private school uniform training.  But then again, I am a girly girl and love my skirts and dresses.  You won't unfollow me for that, will you?  <3

But seriously, I really like this skirt.  I think it's on-trend and it's also a little Missoni-inspired, don't you think?

Ombre Skirt

So I totally forgot to update my blog yesterday.  That what happens on summer vacay.  One day turns into the next and I have no idea what day it is.  I went shopping yesterday and got a few things that are ......neon.  I'm sure you're shocked by this, right?

Here is my retail therapy look.  I found this skirt at Goodwill and sometimes I'm amazed at what people give away.   What do you think?  Was it a good find?

Little Black Dress

Every girl needs a little black dress.  This is the very first LBD I ever bought and it's simple and classic.  To dress up or down so I think it's been a good choice.  I have more than one LBD now and they are always classic and always a good choice (except I've never worn one to a wedding).  I'll be wearing mine a lot this summer since they're all short sleeve or sleeveless dresses.  I wore this one for a night out with friends this past weekend.  What do you think of my very first LBD?

Corny Neon

Are you tired of seeing me in neon?  Well, too bad.  I can't get enough.   I found a pair of neon shorts at Goodwill so let's pile on the neon and have a party by the corn field.  Yeah, about that.  Here's the thing.  Every time I find a half way quiet place to take pictures, all of a sudden, that place becomes the busiest place in town.  People stare.  I was a little annoyed today, so we went waaaaayyyyyy out in the country and stopped along this corn field right before dusk.   Here I am in all my glory and cars start driving by.  Not one or two.  This little road became a highway.  So my photographer is on the other side of the road dying laughing because I look like a freak randomly standing next to the corn.  Yeah, this worked well.

Corn demands a corny picture.  You gotta keep laughing people or it's over.

Pastel Sundress

Ok, first, I did not sleep in this dress!  Did. Not.  I didn't wad it up in a ball before I wore it either.  And I really haven't had it on that long.  Ahhhh, linen.  I hate you.  But I found this dress at the thrift shop with the tags still on it and it's from H&M.  I have no idea how long ago it was in the H&M store.  But I love this pastel blue color and the style of the dress.  So I decided linen and I could make this work.   Yeah right.   Linen: 1, Me: 0.

And here's my looking right into the sun while trying to see and smile face.  This blogging thing isn't easy!

Denim on Denim

I'm lovin the denim on denim trend right now and had a lot of fun adding this crazy print thingy that I'm calling a vest.  So far, so good on my summer vacay.   I'm sleeping late and sleeping late.  I did wake up long enough to go on a "real" shopping trip once.   That means we went to the city and went into retail stores, not thrift stores.  Real is good.  So what do you think about my denim on denim look?

Don't you love this mean face look?  Oh, and someone asked before and I got this collar for $5.00 at a thrift shop.
